Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our handcrafted home essentials.

What materials are used in Zishta products?

We specialize in traditional, authentic materials including soapstone, seasoned cast iron, pure copper, brass, and kansa. All our products are handcrafted by traditional artisans using age-old techniques without harmful chemical coatings.

How do I season my cast iron or soapstone cookware?

Each product comes with specific seasoning instructions. Generally, cast iron requires oiling and heating, while soapstone involves a gradual process of applying oil and turmeric over several days to ensure durability and non-stick properties.

What is your shipping policy?

We ship across India and to many international locations. Domestic orders typically arrive within 5-7 business days. International shipping times vary by destination and will be calculated at checkout.

Can I return a product if it arrives damaged?

Yes, we take great care in packaging, but if your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund.

Are Zishta products safe for modern stovetops?

Most of our traditional cookware is compatible with gas stoves and firewood. However, soapstone and certain clay items are not recommended for induction cooktops unless specifically stated in the product description.

How do I maintain the shine of copper and brass items?

Copper and brass naturally oxidize over time. You can restore their shine by cleaning them with a mixture of lemon and salt, or traditional cleaning powders like Pitambari.
